Attachments
Adding attachments
Four ways:
- Drag-and-drop a file onto the compose window.
- Paste a file (e.g. screenshot from clipboard).
- Click the paperclip icon and pick files.
- On mobile, tap the paperclip and choose Files / Photos / Camera.
Each attachment uploads to our object storage as you add it. A progress bar is shown until upload completes; you can send the message any time after uploads finish.
Size limits
- Per attachment: 25 MB.
- Total per message: 50 MB across all attachments.
These are hard limits - SES rejects sends that exceed them. If you need to send something bigger, generate a share link with your own file host (Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud Drive) and paste the URL into the message body.
Where attachments live
- Outbound: uploaded to our object storage, then streamed through SES at send time.
- Inbound: SES hands us the message; attachments are extracted into object storage and the message body links to them.
All storage is encrypted at rest. Attachments are scoped to your workspace via time-limited signed URLs - no public links unless you explicitly share one.
Previews
Common formats preview inline:
- Images (PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG, HEIC on iOS/Android).
- PDFs.
- Plain text, Markdown, source code (up to 1 MB).
- Video (MP4, MOV) with in-browser playback.
Other formats show a generic icon and a Download button.
